The Kick-Off-Workshop sets the ground for all future workshop. It gives you the opportunity to get to know the group in which you will learn and work for the following two years. But the DZD HeaDS program is not only about knowledge and skills, building up a professional network and knowing the right people that help you to your next step in your career journey is important as well. That is why DZD scientist present current research projects - your opportunity to connect to researchers working in a field you are interested in. Finally, in an interdisciplinary field like health data science it is crucial to communicate in a way that everybody (clinicians, wet lab researchers, data expert) involved understands you. Therefore you will shape your communication skills in a mini-workshop and prepare a short pitch to introduce yourself to the group at the end of the workshop.
Poster Session Health Data Science in the DZD - Abstract book
Early career scientists from DZD will present their current research during the poster session. Guided poster walks will offer the opportunity to hear short presentations, ask questions, and engage in discussion. You are welcome to browse the abstract book in advance.
Following the poster walks, there will be additional time for informal exchange and networking.
One key objective of DZD HeaDS is to enable you to connect with our research network. Accordingly, the poster session is designed to provide insights into ongoing research across DZD groups. If a project sparks your interest and you would like to deepen your practical experience, there will be opportunities to undertake individual short research stays (internships) within DZD groups during the program.
To explore these opportunities, we encourage you to speak directly with the poster presenters, connect with scientists you meet during the upcoming workshops, or contact the organizing team for guidance and support.
