DZD HeaDS is a consecutive workshop program. It is therefore important that you participate in all workshops, as their content builds on each other.
If you cannot attend a workshop, e.g due to illness, please communicate this to the DZD HeaDS management team as early as possible. In case of unexcused absence, travel cost subsidies can not be payed.
Please note, that you are required to follow-up the missed workshop content. If a minimum attendence of 80 % at mandatory workshops is not met, you will not be entitled to receive the participation certificate.
Please make sure to arrange your arrival and departuretimes in a way, that you can attend the full workshop. In case of limited transport connection, contact the DZD HeaDS management team to find a solution.
A single room with breakfast at a hotel close to the event location is booked for you by the DZD. Usually, the workshops will start arround noon to give you time to travel in the morning. The end of the workshops will also be at noon to give you enough time for your travel back home. The hotel room is booked for you for the nights in between (1 or 2 nights).
You are responsible to book a train or flight connection to the event location. Dependent on the distance of the event location to your home location, the DZD will pay flat rate travel subsidies. If your home location changes during the program, please inform the DZD HeaDS management team.

During in-person-workshop you will be offered a conference catering consisting of a light lunch and coffee breaks.
Online workshops will be hold with Zoom. Usually, online workshop will conducted in several short blocks of 2-3 hours. Work assignments that must be completed by the next workshop date are possible.
Also for online workshops, it is important that you inform the DZD HeaDS management team as early as possible if you cannot attend the workshop.
