Congratulations, you got one a spot on the DZD HeaDS program! Together with ~30 other Master and PhD student from Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Finland and the UK, you will complete eight workshops in the next two years, part of them online, the other ones either in Munich or in Tübingen. Health data science is a growing field, data is available in growing size and quality. There is a need for well educated scientists to unlock the treasure trove of health data. After completion of the certificate program you will be well equiped to continue your academic journey in health data science. The workshops are embedded into the academic network of the German Center for Diabetes Research (DZD). This is a good opportunity to connect with scientists in the field and plan your next career steps as a PhD student or postdoc.
Every workshop covers a specific topic. However, the workshops build on each other, starting from health data sources, going to infrastructures and analysis methods up to health data innovations. That is why it is important that you attend all the workshops and save the date as soon as possible in your calendars. You will find an overview of the workshops and dates in the program overview.
The management team deals with all organizational issues concerning the participants management and workshop organisation. You can contact them via e-mail at heads@dzd-ev.de or phone.
The workshops are lead by the teaching team: researchers in the field and data managers. External speakers on specialised topics complement the teaching team.
DZD HeaDS is designed as a interactive program. Everyone of you brings a different background of skills. You will work on tasks together in the group and learn from each other. Are you curious, who else is on the program from your institute or town? Check out the list of participants.
